Injuries taking their toll on White Sox

The Chicago White Sox remain first in the American League Central and have an excellent team both at the plate and on the mound but injuries are beginning to take their toll. First baseman Jose Abreu has the lead in home runs and RBIs with 11 and 46 respectively. Madrigal was batting .305 before hurting his hamstring.

On the mound, Chicago’s team ERA is 3.25 which is fourth in baseball, it’s WHIP is 1.16, which is 7th and opposing hitters are averaging .223 at the plate against the White Sox pitching which is ninth best in baseball. Carlos Rodon is leading Chicago in strikeouts with 88 and Lance Lynn is the leader in wins with 7. Lynn is also the leader in ERA for starters at 1.23. Lucas Giolito receives the nod on Friday.
