They rightly send Frankie Montas to the mound and comes from an undefeated game against the Cleveland Indians, where he went six innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits with three turns and six strikeouts.

The Chicago White Sox have been quiet lately, but also have a comfortable lead in AL Central with a record of 68-49. They send veteran southpaw Dallas Keuchel and he comes from a losing streak against the Minnesota Twins, where he allowed four runs on four hits with one stroke after pitch, four turns and a strikeout in six innings of work.

Hot streak for Oakland

Oakland Athletics have been an average offensive team this season as they are tied with the Colorado Rockies for 14th in majors with a .728 OPS. They have scored races this season as they are averaging 4.6 races per game. Fight so far. His average starting speed of 90 MPH is the highest against him in his career. Montas has an arsenal of four lanes (sinker, fastball, splitter, slider) and the splitter has been his best pitch as it has a .142 stroke average with a .177 swallow percentage. It will be the first time he faces the White Sox in his career, so it will be interesting to see how he plays here.

Chicago Sluggers

The Chicago White Sox have been a good offensive team as their .751 OPS is good for eighth in the majors. This team finds a way to get to the base as they are only heading for the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds in this division for the entire season as Chicago sends a .331 OBP. They have scored races as late as in their last five games, they are averaging 5.6 races per game. Match with 12 total home runs during this stretch. First baseman Jose Abreu has been on a tear this season as he has a .831 OPS with 24 homers and 86 RBI so far. If the White Sox can keep hitting and getting runners across the plate, it will be hard to imagine them losing many more games.

Dallas Keuchel has struggled this season, according to his Baseball Savant page. He is in the second percentile in xBA, third percentile in strikeout percentage, sixth percentile in xERA and 10th percentile in xSLG. His 9.5 barrel percentage this season is the highest in his career. Keuchel has a five-pitch arsenal (sinker, change, cutter, shooter, fastball) and his shooter and has a .320 stroke average with a .600 swallowing percentage against. He has not faced Athletics since 2018 as a member of the Houston Astros, so it will be interesting to see how he attacks this lineup.
